School days are the most memorable days of one's life. We spend about 10-13 years, to be particular about 6-7 hours a day of your life investing time and money in school.
But do you think your investment has returns...?
Do you think school has taught you all the lessons and gave you all the capabilities to live your life....? I don't think so, because school educational system has merely became a bussiness and like a 'rat race for students fighting all the way to achieve good grades in their exams..so that they can get a admission in best college and so on they can get a high paying job.... apparently this has a nostalgia in schools.
Have you ever thought..that many things that school actually taught you are useless... instead they might have tought you which you can actually use in your life...
These are 5 things that school never tought you :
1.How to make money :
Just be honest..the ultimate goal of our struggle is money...
But most of you don't even know how to make money, instead we run after big companies, competitive exams in order to make money... because we don't have any alternative option or an idea to make money.
2. How to sell :
If you attend an interview..the interviewer may give you the pen in his hand and ask you to sell it...this is most common task given to a person in a interview.
But most of you fail to perform that task obviously because our school, our degree never taught us this small thing to sell a pen...this is not at all deficit of yours but the propaganda dealing with our system.
You have to know how to make a person to buy your thing.. because it's a major skill one should have to
3.How to invest money :
Don't think investing as a negative term.
Investing in the sense not only in case of a business but also in self development.i.e you have to invest in assets not in liabilities.
Assets can be like a book, house,a learning course kinda things..assets give you high returns even in a long run..
For instance,if you invest your money in buying a good book it will increase your knowledge in return. If you invest in a house..it will pay you even if you are not living in it by renting it..
Liabilities are kinda a car. if you invest to buy a car...you have to pay for its fuel..
So better invest in assets than in liabilities.
But most of them don't know how to invest their money wisely even if they are topper of their universities or a gold medalist because our degree never taught us such things.
4. Thinking Creatively :
I remember a day in my +2, when I wrote a English test conducted by my teacher in which we are supposed to write a summary of a lesson. Our teacher gave us the notes of that lesson earlier.
Then,I wrote the test. After sometime I was called to the staff room by our same teacher and he said that I was failed in my test because I wrote in the answers in my own language in a lucid way...and all the students wrote the answer as it is in the notes which sir gave.
I was offended the way even our teachers are behaving to students..They are letting the creativity of the students to lay down.
Students in schools should think in a creative way..that habit of being creative will help them in further life.
5. Taking risks/ being experimental :
Students are in a mindset of safe secure future..they don't want to take risks and do experiments...they need a job which would pay them even after their retirement..
Such mentality of students is because of their parents who teach them to live a life, which they lived. They always want to receive a paycheck.
I was inspired when I was reading this book "Rich dad and poor dad" in which the author explained the rule of success as "not to receive a paycheck but to give a paycheck"
That means you don't have to work for anyone but you have to work for yourself, you should provide employment opportunities for others..
You can give a paycheck for others only when you take risk and do experiments..so don't forget the rule for becoming rich,be experimental and risk your life as af.
Thanks to thought us....
